Meet Amanda
Known as A.Rey to her closest friends, Amanda Rachel is a New Yorker, Bostonian, Latina, female entrepreneur, and professional makeup artist. She relocated to the Valley of the Sun in 2023, bringing her 15 years of artistry experience from the east coast.
Amanda’s passion for makeup was ignited by her first job opportunity behind the Chanel counter in Boston, Massachusetts. She obtained her masters degree in Counseling Psychology and worked in that field, but always worked part time in the beauty industry as a creative outlet and opportunity to develop artistry.
She has worked for a number of brands: Chanel, Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, Nars, Chantecaille & Gucci Beauty. She also assisted the well-renowned Jennifer M. Viveiros in the New England area, focusing solely on bridal makeup. This is where she found her niche: elevated, enhanced, natural makeup.
Amanda has been afforded a number of opportunities while working in bridal and became an expert in her craft. She founded A.Rey Makeup Artistry to create timeless, classic, soft glam looks that suit everyone — and she hasn’t looked back!
